Little Leaguers to pay Dukes' fine?
"The point is, this guy gave back to our community, and now he's in a hard spot. We need to help him. It's not a question of whether this guy can afford the 500 bucks. We're just trying to send a message to our kids: He was here for us. Now we've got to be there for him."

That must've been one heck of a bake sale! Little League raises $501 to pay Dukes' fine?
The story of Elijah Dukes and the Little Leaguers gets a little more interesting. According to the Washington Post, the Great Falls Little League has raised $501 and wants to pay off Dukes' fine for him.
According to the Post, cold, heartless Manny Acta doesn't care who pays up, just as long as someone does:
"We don't care how the money comes to us, because we don't keep the money," he said. "We give it to the clubhouse kids who are needy, or the extra coaches to help with their housing. It's not something [where] we're going to go out for wings and beers."
Interestingly, Dukes was paid $500 for the appearance.
Is this not getting the kind of outrage I'd hope it would get?
Manny no likey Elijah, which means he hates God. You can read that in the Bible I'm pretty sure it's in there.
