This morning I had a wonderful dream. I woke up with memories of a yet another gut wrenchingly creatively blown game and feeling fine. Then I tried to get out of bed and my surgery scar hurt and then I realized that this wasn't a pleasant memory of last year, but the present. This road trip is beginning to look a lot like last year. I sure hope I won't be back on another Embrace the Bad kick. This season has been so much much fun until this road trip - where in reality, they've played just as poorly as the slways seem to do in San FranDiego. I just had higher hopes things would be different this time ...

That was a great article on the '05 Nats. I was a season ticket holder that year and during that 10-game winning streak, I drove from my house (2.5 hrs away) to RFK each night to watch the games. You had the feeling that it was going to be the "Miracle Nats".

You know what started the slide? I think we beat Pedro and the Mets on July 3rd but on the Fourth of July (I think), some robot (really!) sang the National Anthem. Bad karma! 30-51 2nd half. But it was a year I'll never forget.
