Lloyd: What are my chances?
Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary: I'd say more like one out of a million.
[pause]
Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance...
YEEEEAH!!

(Apologies for using the same video and sentiments as last year.)
In the spirit of Lloyd Christmas: There's a chance for the Nationals in 2010.
At least for one day.
The curtain rises on the 2010 season, and it's hard to know what to make of the first Washington Nationals team that's ever been pieced together by someone not named Jim Bowden. Mike Rizzo: this one is all on you.
Without further ado, here are the Official Nationals Enquirer predictions for 2010.
Nationals final record: 70-92, good for last place in the NL East. Yet, not good enough for the 1st pick in the 2011 Draft. Progress?
Here's how the East shakes out in 2010:
1. Braves
2. Phillies
3. Marlins
4. Mets
5. Nationals
MLB:
AL East: Yankees
AL Central: Twins
AL West: Mariners
AL Wild Card: Rays
NL East: Braves
NL Central: Cubs
NL West: Rockies
NL Wild Card: Phillies
World Series: Yankees beat Rockies.
We'll try to get to a few more meaningless Nats-centric predictions before the first pitch. Heading down to Nationals Park now.

If 70 is the over-under, I take over.

Oh, I've caught your sly reference to the fact that the 2010 season could be as bad as 2009. But baseball, like fishing, is kind of about optimism.
