Long live the King...
In the wake of yesterday's heart attack win (we're not complaining, it beats a heart attack loss any day), Bill Ladson makes note of a new post-game tradition for the Nationals in 2010:
Right before the 2010 season started, Nationals first baseman Adam Dunn had an idea: The team's Player of the Game at Nationals Park must wear a silver Elvis Presley wig in front of the media. Center [fielder] Nyjer Morgan ended up buying the wig at a Halloween store.

Head on over to CSN Washington to watch the video of a silver-wigged Willie Harris being interviewed after the game. Just fantastic. Here's hoping the wig doesn't collect too much dust at the top of Tony Plush's locker this season. More Silver Elvis, please!

That's awesome.

In the spirit of trying to be less negative this season, we're thinking of organizing a "Nationals Enquirer Silver Elvis Wig Night" at Nationals Park (rather than the Brown Bag nights of 2010). Do you think Stan will give us a good deal on a group rate even though we're not from Philadelphia?
