IT JUST DIDN'T WORK OUT

"That's the way we wanted to do it. It just didn't work out."
(Manny Acta, via Washington Times, 7/4/2008)

Reds 5, Former Reds 3: Look on the bright side, at least Charlie Manning did his job last night. But you knew the inevitable was coming from someone.

Annoying fact (via Cincinnati Enquirer): Reds entered the game hitting 198 with runners in scoring position and two outs. All five Reds runs scored on two-out hits.

Kearns returns. They still love him in KY. Casto back to AAA.

Happy 4th of July, everybody!
