"Pretty tight. I don't think it really fits my big head very well. But it's alright. It feels pretty good."

"Young Mr. Clutch" Delivers
Nationals 4, Reds 2: Big crowd, bigger win.
The Strasburg Effect: 33,774 fans on hand, good for 2nd best crowd since Opening Day.
Or maybe those fans were on hand to watch Joe West, who always seems to find a way to make the game about him. Obviously they got the call right, but ejecting Desmond?
"My reason for talking to Joe was that he didn't have to throw Ian out of the game. I guess Joe felt that Ian showed him up. Desmond learned from it. Joe has been in the game a long time, and he got the call right."
(Jim Riggleman, via Nationals.com, 6/5/2010)
Joe West is just a terrible umpire, period. Unfortunately, being a MLB umpire has the job security of a federal judge.
