MLB's weekly All-Star fan vote update is not looking good for the Nats. Ryan Zimmerman arguably deserves to be the starting third baseman for the NL in this year's All-Star game, and the thought of Zim missing out on all the free swag he got at the 2009 All-Star game in St. Louis is almost too much to take. Like, in the photo above, Zim shows off a new Palm Pre he got at a party hosted by Ryan Howard and Palm last year. Yes, he could still be the default Nats rep at the game like last year, but suddenly there's a certain Baseball Jesus in the race.
Enough's enough, NatsTown. Time to go here and vote for Ryan Zimmerman 25 times a day for the next few weeks until July 1 at 11:59 PM and at least help him crack the Top 5 for third basemen in the NL. He finished 5th last year. It will take you less than 10 minutes a day.
Probably no chance in hell to catch Polanco now, but this is pathetic:
Meanwhile, count us as completely opposed to the idea of SI Coverboy Stephen Strasburg appearing in the 2010 All-Star game. First, if Bud Selig and his minions pressure NL Manager Charlie Manuel to select Strasburg as the Nationals sole representative in an effort to drive up TV ratings, then we say: f*ck you, Bud. Secondly, and more importantly: the Nationals have a playoff race to worry about in the second half! We're only half-kidding about that. But they need to save every last one of Strasburg's bullets until he tags Jordan Zimmermann into the ring at the beginning of September.
So, vote Yes on Zim (and Pudge, Dunn, Willingham, etc. while you're at it)...while there's still time.

Takes a little longer than 10 minutes to vote 25 times, but every vote counts. Let's do this!

Got my 25 votes done in 8 minutes. They make it really easy for you -- you just have to keep entering a validation number and then the Next button - it rememers your previos ballot. I voted for Nyjer 25 times, too, but only because he hasn't done anything stupid so far in tonight's game.
