Maybe "rock bottom" has a different meaning in spanish? The translation I got was "fondo" (going from E to S). "Fondo" going from S to E means "bottom". So maybe Manny thought he wasn't hitting anyone's bottoms? Sure, that's it. "We have too many games left to be hitting bottoms". Makes total sense now....

Heck, Manny won't even yell at his guys (the closest he's ever come was getting in Bergmann's face the other night), so I think spankings are out of the question.
