Enquirer Exclusive! Trader Jim Bobblehead Night!
According to sources with no direct or indirect knowledge of the situation, the Washington Nationals have cancelled Saturday's Thomas Jefferson Racing President Bobblehead giveaway due to an "administrative error" and have hastily announced that Saturday will be Trader Jim Racing GM Bobblehead giveaway night. According to sources, the "administrative error" (by an intern in the marketing department) resulted in an order of 20,000 bobbleheads in the likeness of General Manager Jim Bowden rather than President Thomas Jefferson.
Bobblehead vouchers will be distributed to the first 20,000 fans entering the stadium Saturday night, but in the spirit of the recent passing of the non-waiver trade deadline, vouchers will not be redeemed at distribution locations on the day of the game.
Meanwhile...
Lasers! Hyperbaric Chambers! Leeches! Homeopathic Injections! Yoga! Canada! 'Short' with the media! Guess who?
That ridiculous conspiracy theory about the failed Adam Dunn-to-Washington deadline deal (from Reds Insider/Cincinnati.com: "Jim Bowden never intended to do make a deal. He just strung the Reds along to waste their time.") is so dumb it could only have been floated by Wayne Krivsky himself -- speaking of Krivsky, Bill Ladson says a ruling on the damaged goods grievance will be coming soon.
(Bobblehead photos belong to Nationals.com -- Bowden bobblehead hack job is the responsibility of The Nationals Enquirer)
Very good.
Only picture that would have topped that would have been the tongue-of-concentration-while-tossing-a-baseball photo. I guessed the baseball would have had to have been cropped out . . .

Thanks Basil...Admittedly, I waffled between the Bowden mug shot, the tongue-of-concentration, and "The Auction Face (http://redreporter.wikidot.com/local--files/leatherpants/Bowdenbid.JPG)"...

Who is the next member of Cold Pizza to become General Manager of a baseball team?
I am going with Sage Steele.
