"We've had a hard time getting big hits early in the season. Hopefully, this is a sign of change."

NAAAts 8, Braves 2: Fourth place, here they come! Lannan skips pre-game PB&J, wiggles out of jam(s), gets plenty of run support.
Meanwhile...
- Zim's fast track back is nearly complete. Will rejoin the club on Tuesday. Given the track record of the team's medical staff this season, is there any reason to be confident that his shoulder will hold up? Return trip to the DL, three weeks and counting...
- Da Meat Hook to the 15-day DL to get his diabetes under control. That means: they'll continue to carry four catchers, three real outfielders, and Paul Lo Duca becomes your starting first baseman. Fantastic.
- Bill Ladson says Guzman contract negotiations are ongoing, and says
Jim Bowdena baseball source told him the White Sox and Rays are looking at Rauch. This Ladson piece is chock-full-of trade rumor goodness, and even makes the inevitable mention of Adam Dunn. - Milledge to start rehab.
- Remember me? Rob Mackowiak has a 14-game hitting streak for the Louisville Bats (AAA).
