Oh, Jesus.

20080403jc

"It looked like he was just raring back. He wasn't pitching. He was just throwing the ball as hard as he could."
(Randy St. Claire, on JC, via Washington Post, 4/4/2008)

Phillies 8, Nats 7: Well, that blows. Big lead gets blown; Jesus Colome forgets to cover on a 10th inning bunt, sets the stage for a walkoff walk.

When I read the headline, I thought you were referring to Flores...who had an awesome game. 3-for-4 with 2 doubles, a walk, and an RBI.

That POS Lo Duca is hitting a very impressive .083.

Nope, we were referring to the other Jesus, the one who couldn't hit the target set up by the Jesus you were talking about (the who is hopefully mentally prepared for a long summer of riding busses in AA). Watch the replay of the bunt again. Jesus (not the one you're talking about) just stood there and watched the whole thing unfold.

There goes the perfect season. Well it was fun while it lasted. Time to start watching the NFL networks coverage of the draft and all pre-training camp activities again. Free Pacman Jones.
